Holla holla! Rule ready for comeback.
Former hip-hop star Ja Rule was released from New York’s Ray Brook Federal Prison on Tuesday morning after serving sentences for tax evasion and illegal gun possession. According to TMZ, his wife picked him up and drove him home, where he will remain on house arrest until July 28th, when Rule was originally set for release.
In 2010, the “Mesmerized” rapper pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years on an attempted criminal possession charge from 2007 as well as being ordered in 2011 to serve 28 months for tax evasion. Rule served both sentences at the same time.
During a 2011 interview with Rap-Up.com, Ja Rule shared that he planned to tour after his release.
