Chris Brown, Tamar Braxton and Kendrick Lamar announced the 2013 BET Awards nominations.

The nominations were revealed earlier Tuesday during a ceremony at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Young Money rapper Drake currently leads the pack with 12 nods total, including Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Best Collaboration and a whopping five times in the Video of the Year categories.

Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz nabbed 8 nods, while A$AP Rocky grabbed five and Miguel picked up four. Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Kanye West picked up three.

Diva Beyoncé somehow managed to nab a nomination with no new music, however, veteran R&B singer Brandy, who is heralded by her fans and peers as the “Vocal Bible”, surprisingly did not get a nomination. Industry politics.
